Comprised of India’s most popular cities, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, this amazing 10-day Golden Triangle tour is perfect for Solo Travellers looking to get a taste of life in India, not to mention a glimpse at one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Starting in Delhi, a place steeped in rich history, with tours of both the Old and New City, we work our way south, to Agra, to visit architectural delight, the Taj Mahal. One of the world’s seven wonders, this magnificent structure was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife in 1632 and is an undoubted highlight of this trip. From here, we’ll be heading west to Jaipur, stopping on the way to visit the abandoned mogul capital of Fatehpur Sikri. Once in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, we will visit the stunning Amber Fort, the Palace of the Winds and the City Palace. Depending on the time of year, it is also in Jaipur where you can join the locals in their colourful celebrations of Holi Festival, making this trip extra special. We’ll finish up our Incredible India tour with a safari in the Ranthambore National Park, home to India’s tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles!

Day 1 – Arrive Delhi
When you arrive in Delhi, make your way to the hotel for check-in, which will be from 2pm onwards. Today is an arrival day so there are no planned activities. If you arrive in time, you can join your guide and the rest of the group for dinner to get to know your fellow travellers! Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 – Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll start our city tour of Delhi. Our first stop will be at Jama Masqid, which is one of the largest mosques in India and was built by the Mughal Emperor Sha Jahan. We will then take a rickshaw ride around Delhi, through the bazaars and Chandi Chowk, taking in the vibrancy and colours of the surroundings. The next stop on our tour will be at Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Ghandi, and finally we’ll finish up our first day of sightseeing at Humayun’s Tomb. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 – Delhi / Agra
After breakfast we’ll check-out of our hotel in Delhi and start the drive to Agra (approx. 4 hours depending on traffic). Upon arrival, we’ll visit the Baby Taj and then get checked-in to our new hotel. In the early evening, we will visit the breath-taking Taj Mahal in time for sunset. You will soon understand why this incredible marble masterpiece is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Overnight in Agra.
Day 4 – Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur
Today we will start by visiting a marble workshop before travelling to Agra Fort to witness the stunning architecture of the Mughal Empire. From here, we drive to Fatehpur Sikri, a cultural UNESCO World Heritage site often referred to as the abandoned Mughal capital. We then continue to the beautiful ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, where you will spend the night.
Day 5 – Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll start our day with a photo stop at the spectacular Hawa Mahal and then visit the City Palace, one of Jaipur’s most famous attractions. We’ll then visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. After stopping for a light lunch, we’ll begin our jeep ride to the top of the Amber Fort where you will have amazing views of the old town. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 6 – Jaipur Free Day (Holi Celebrations)
Today is a free day to be spent at your leisure. You could go to the Raj Madir Cinema to watch a Bollywood film with the locals, visit the marble masterpiece that is Birla Mandir Temple, or try out your bartering skills at the local bazaars and buy some souvenirs. (If you are travelling during the month of Holi, today you can join in the celebrations with the locals of Jaipur!)
Day 7 – Jaipur / Ranthambore National Park

After a leisurely breakfast we will depart for the Ranthambore National Park, where we will be spending the next couple of nights. This beautiful park is famous for spotting the elusive tigers and other wildlife including deer, crocodiles, hyenas and various species of birds. On arrival we will check-in to our hotel and, after some lunch in the resort, we will proceed for a safari to track the Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat, as well as other wildlife in the Ranthambhore National Park.

Day 8 – Ranthambore National Park Safari

After breakfast we will depart for another amazing day of safari in both the morning and the afternoon. Keep your camera’s at the ready for those all important pictures!

Day 9 – Ranthambore National Park / Delhi

This morning we will be transferred to the railway station to catch our train to Delhi, the journey should take approximately 5 hours. On arrival we will explore Qutub Minar, a must-see UNESCO World Heritage site. A farewell dinner will be organised for our last evening together. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 10 – Depart Delhi

Today is the last day of your tour and, as there are no planned activities, you are free to depart anytime today for your onward flights home. Not ready to go home just yet? Why not add on a 3-day extension to the spiritual capital of Varanasi. Get in touch for details!
